Summer is the perfect season to get outside and enjoy the gorgeous Southern weather with friends and family—whether that is playing baseball with the kids, visiting the Atlanta zoo, or just eating a quiet dinner on the patio. For the music fans among us, Atlanta offers an enjoyable concert series throughout the summer: Wednesday WindDown.
Wednesday WindDown is the longest-running concert series in the city, having entertained audiences for more than ten years. The series offers a variety of exciting live music performances, from jazz to contemporary music. Both local and national performers have graced the Centennial Olympic Park stage, including Ken Ford, Bernard Lynette, Bobby Lyle, and Phil Davis.
Every Wednesday, you have the opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy a free concert at the Southern Comfort Amphitheater. Bring a chair and a cooler with snacks, or purchase food and beverages on-site. The concert will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
