This December, I’m extremely excited to attend the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame Inaugural Ceremony: the first official Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and Museum ceremony celebrating business leaders and entrepreneurs.
The Hall of Fame’s Class of 2012 will be recognized on December 1st from 6 to 11pm. at the historic Estate (3109 Piedmont Dr. in Buckhead, GA). The class was chosen by an induction committee of prominent editors and business experts. The inductees include Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx and the youngest female billionaire in the world; founder of Subway Fred Deluca; and Harris Rosen, the president and CEO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts; among others. In addition, Dave and Catherine Cook will be granted a youth award for MeetMe, their social networking site.
The event is open to other entrepreneurs and business owners and will feature an hors d-oeuvres and cocktail hour, awards ceremony, and an after-party and networking event. Reservations are required, so get your tickets soon if you want to join me! The event begins at 6pm with the ceremony at 7:30pm.
The Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and Museum was founded in 2002 by Mitch Schlimer with the goal of recognizing successful business leaders and empowering youth to become entrepreneurs. According to Mitch, “Entrepreneurship is vital to our society.” And I couldn’t agree more!
The EHOF operates in the EPICenter, a center for teaching and studying entrepreneurship and for youth outreach. The EPICenter is located in Atlanta at 245 Peachtree Center Ave.
